GET READY FOR SKI SEASON

Ski season is starting. Are you ready for skiing? How your body is ready for this, as some call it light recreational activity, but skiing is much more than that. Find out in this article the most important issues related to the preparation for skiing and evaluate your ability to avoid injuries which are increasingly common due to inadequate preparation.

I have personally witnessed how unprepared the body for strenuous ski days, there are serious consequences for violations, and another failed winter ski vacation SHOULDER DISLOCATION AND RECOVERY-my story. Muscle fatigue, lack of stamina, concentration and other disadvantages are the main cause of crashes with serious consequences. Experiences and experts say the biggest enemy is muscle fatigue for skiing, and it is responsible for many ski injuries. The data shows that during the seven-day ski break, on Wednesday and Thursday, going on the greatest number of falls and accidents, especially in the afternoon! When you falls the most common injury is knee injury, as a result of crossing skis (anterior cruciate ligament injuries with almost 10-15% frequency), next one is dislocations of shoulder, injuries collarbone, hip injuries and others. Such injuries can permanently prevent you ski or may result in chronic pain and problems throughout life.

There are basic principles and principles of training on how to prepare your body for the efforts that follow the ski vacation. Basic components of the preparation are: Cardiovascular Training, Functional Strength Training, Flexibility Training, Balance and Proprioception Exercise, Specific Ski and Plyometric Training.

Preparation and training should start from 6 to 10 weeks before the holiday. Cardio training consists a minimum of 30 minutes of cardio exercise with a change of pace from 2 to 3 times a week: bike, running, rowing … If you can not endure the intensity for 30 minutes, insert a pause of 1 to 2 minutes between activities than 3 minutes. Functional strength training is strengthen the entire kinetic chain represents a functional simulation of movements in skiing. Individually perform exercises and movements (jumps, steps forward, kettlebell, ropes, a combination of push-ups, pull-ups and burpees) and later assembly into one unit will prepare your body for similar tasks that await you on the track. Flexibility training is compulsory and represents a very important static and dynamic stretching torso and legs in preparation for skiing. Your body will be more flexible and less susceptible to injury collisions and falls. Stretching after worm up and after functional training and strength training! Training of Proprioception and Balance. Dynamic equilibrium must control the balance in body movement while skiing. The basic ski movements and techniques involve transferring weight from one foot to the other, and a balance through exercise proprioception that provides better control of movement in the knee (T plates, plate with a semi-sphere, cylinders of different sizes, SLACKLINE – wide band stretched between two supports, INTO BOARD – slab roller, BOSU ball) is fixed for safe skiing. Specific ski and Plyometric Training simulates real ski movements, develops explosive power of legs and CORE muscle (strengthening the abdominal wall, rotator troops and lumbar). Through the basics of exercise squats and jumps with the load to the cables for more faithful simulation of a particular ski position.

Active stabilizers of the knee are the most important when it comes to strengthening the muscle and prevention of skiing injuries. Include:

extensors of knee – the quadriceps

hamstrings, flexors of knee – hamstrings bits: muscle biceps femoris, semitendinosus, semimembranosus

adductor and abductors of leg – large, long and short adductor, muscle gracialis

KAKO SE FIZIČKI PRIPREMITI ZA NOVU SKIJAŠKU SEZONU

Bliži nam se sezona skijanja. Sneg je već dobro napadao na planinama. Da li ste spremni za skijanje? Koliko je vaše telo spremno za ovu kako neki zovu laganu rekreativnu aktivnost, a skijanje je mnogo više od toga. Saznajte u ovom tekstu najbitnije stvari u vezi pripreme za skijanje i ocenite svoje sposobnosti kako ne bi došlo do povreda koje su sve učestalije usled neadekvatne pripreme.

Lično sam svedok kako nepripremljeno telo, za naporne skijaške dane, ima za posledice teške povrede i još jedan propali zimski skijaški odmor DISLOKACIJA ZGLOBA RAMENA-oporavak/moja priča . Zamor mišića, nedovoljna kondicija, koncentracija i još drugih slabosti su glavni uzrok padova sa ozbiljnim posledicama. Iskustva i stručnjaci navode da je zamor mišića najveći neprijatelj skijanja i da je zaslužan za mnoge skijaške povrede. Podatak govori da se tokom sedmodnevnog skijaškog odmora, u sredu i četvrtak, događa najveći broj padova i nezgoda, posebno u popodnevnim satima! Kod padova najčešće su povrede ligamenata kolena usled ukrštanja skija ( povrede prednjih ukrštenih ligamenata sa gotovo 10-15% učestalosti ), zatim iščašenja zgloba ramena, povreda ključne kosti, kuka i ostale. Takve povrede mogu zauvek da vas spreče da skijate ili mogu za posledicu imati hronične bolove i probleme tokom celog života.

Postoje osnovna načela i principi treninga kako pripremiti svoje telo za napore koje slede na skijaškom odmoru. Osnovne komponete za pripreme su: Kondicioni ili Kardiovaskularni trening, Funkcionalni trening snage, Trening Fleksibilnosti, Trening Propriorecepcije i Balansa, Specifični skijaški i Pliometriski trening.

Priprema i trening treba početi od 6 do 10 nedelja pre odmora. Kondicioni trening se satoji od minimum 30 minuta kardio vežbanja sa promenom tempa 2 do 3 puta nedeljno: bicikla, trčanje, veslanje… U koliko ne možete da izdržite intenzitet od 30 minuta, uvedite pauze od 1 do 2 minuta između aktivnosti od 3 minuta. Funkcionalni trening snage za jačanje celog kinetičkog lanca koji prestavlja simulaciju funkcionalih pokreta u skijanju. Pojedinačno izvođenje vežbi  i pokreta (skokovi, iskoraci, gilje, konopci, kombinacije sklekova, zgibova i burpees-a) i kasnije sklapanje u jednu celinu pripremiće vaše telo na slične zadatke koji vas očekuju na stazi. Trening Fleksibilnosti predstavlja obavezno i veoma bitno statičko i dinamičko Istezanje trupa i nogu u pripremi za skijanje. Vaše telo će biti gipkije i manje podložno povredama pri sudarima i padovima. Istezanje nakon zagrevanja i nakon funkcionalnog treninga i treninga snage! Trening Propriorecepcije i Balansa. Dinamička ravnoteža podrazumeva kontrolu balansa u kretanju tela tokom skijanja. Osnovna skijaška kretanja i tehnike podrazumevaju prenos težine sa jedne na drugu nogu i time je vežbanje balansa kroz propriorecepciju koja obezbeđuje bolju kontrolu pokreta u kolenu ( T ploča, ploča sa polu-kuglom, valjci različitih dimenzija, SLACKLINE – široka traka razvučena između dva oslonca, INTO BOARD – ploča na valjku, BOSU lopta) osnovna za bezbedno skijanje. Specifični skijaški trening i Pliometriski trening simulira stvarne skijaške pokrete, razvija eksplozivnu snagu brzinu nogu i CORA ( jačanje trbušnog zida, rotatora trupa i lumbalnog dela). Kroz osnove vežbe čučnjeva i skokova sa opterećenjem do kablova i sajli za što verniju simulaciju određenog skijaškog položaja.

Aktivni stabilizatori kolena su najbitniji kada se govori o jačanju mišića i prevencija od skijaških povreda. U njh spadaju:

Opružači, ekstenzori, kolena – kvadriceps

Pregibači, fleksori, kolena – zadnja loža bita: mišić biceps femoris, semitendinosus, semimembranosus

Primicači, aduktori, noge – veliki, dugi i kratki primicač, mišić gracialis

SHOULDER DISLOCATION AND RECOVERY-my story

Very common sports injury that can result in a problem in the shoulder part throughout all your career. As I pulled my shoulder while skiing just a few months before going to work as a fitness instructor in Dubai, my full recovery and return to the gym, will be the topic of today’s text.

In short we will go through the anatomy of the shoulder part, the concept and the types of dislocation of the shoulder joint. Shoulder hoop consists of 4 joints that connect 4 bones. Specifically shoulder joint bind the two bones: the humerus and scapula. Joint is securing firm tissue, known as ligaments. Shoulder joint is also secure by deltoid muscles and tendons. This joint is the most mobile joint in the human body and thus the most likely to cause most complicated injuries. Dislocation occurs after separation joint parts after some force. Depending on the direction of the shoulder dislocation, there are: front (among the 90% of all dislocations), rear and bottom dislocations. Due to the dislocation of degradation and stretching the ligaments that hold the joint, or in severe cases leads to the tearing of ligaments.

After signing the contract for the fitness company from Dubai and waiting to finish the paperwork and visas in order to make the journey, in the meantime, I decided to go in January, on Olympic mountain Jahorina for skiing. As a good and experienced skier, for me it’s supposed to be a relaxing holiday before working trip. Turns out it was not. 3 days of fog, cold weather did not stop me to open and close the wire on the track, what i always did. 4th day and a beautiful sunny morning promised it will be a beautiful skiing day. After a couple of slope in the morning at one moment I split off from the team and started alone to ski. A small error and high speed caused huge inertia, rolling and fall on head and right shoulder at one time. The vertical drop and strong shock caused the internal dislocation of the shoulder which was concluded by an Englishman, random skier who skied here and stopped to help me, he is a doctor by profession. Ski-do is came for me, and on the way to a small clinics I did not remember anything because of pain. Upon arrival the doctor and after removal equipment from me scene it was terrible, right shoulder almost did not exist, even hoped in a hand movement was impossible. Proposal is to send me in Sarajevo hospital, because the case was complicated. I told the doctor that the pain is not a problem I can tolerate that, just ask him to try to return the shoulder. With the great fear, which I felt at his behavior, he put me on the bed and almost with the principle of the lever at a mechanic’s, he move shoulder back into place. Satisfaction was mutual, he put me the triangle and bandage, and the next 4 days hotel was the only place I spent time where I had a lot of time to reading and analyze this form of injury.

After i get at home i saw the mail where it said that 1. April will be my first working day in Dubai so i need to be there. So i have to two months in order to be able to work or simply cancel the long-awaited job. Head of the hospital, which was considered like the best experts in this field, told me that is happiness that I only stretch the ligaments and the best way to get everything back is to practice BREASTSTROKE SWIMMING at the pool. Hand I could not lift more than 20 cm from the body, it was all tight with every move and the pain was strong. Initially the pool’s right hand almost had a 10% function. Water is becoming more and more strained tendon and weaken the entire joint inflammation. Arm was more mobile, water is massaged and also help to moderate movements regain function. Progress has been significant. 1st of April, I was in Dubai at the end of the same month I lifted 100kg in the bench press which meant the end of my complete recovery and return to the scene 🙂

Recovery prognoses were that I would need six months to rehabilitate the injury, which i almost achieved in less than 3 months. Breaststroke Swimming without any medications, creams and treatments showed a large positive effect for the rehabilitation of the shoulder dislocation injuries.

HRANA KOJA ZAMENJUJE SUPLEMENTE

Pod pritiskom farmako industrije i naletom najnovijih i navodno najboljih preparata, često smo u dilemi da li trebamo da svoju ishranu pojačamo nekim suplementima koji nam se nude. Klijenti često postavljaju pitanja da li treba da uzimaju i koji suplement. U ovom članku bavićemo se suplementacijom, za rekreativne sportiste i zaljubljenike u fitnes, i njihovom zamenom kroz ishranu.

Najčešće pominjani suplementi su: protein, kreatin, L-karnitin, kofein, glutamin, leucin, kalcijum, koenzim Q10, gvožđe, magnezijum, omega-3 masne kiseline (riblje ulje), vitamini (A, B1, B2, B5, B12, C, D, E, K), cink…

Opisaćemo njihovu ulogu pojedinačno i zamenu kroz namirnice:

Protein-Whey ili surutka se dobija pretvaranjem mleka u sir. Proteini surutke imaju najveću biološku raspoloživost (najefikasnije dolaze do delova organizma gde su potrebni). Aminokiselinski sastav proteina surutke je najvredniji u smislu da sadrže najviše amino kiselina razgranatog lanca (bcaa), kao i sve esencijalne amino kiseline. Surutka je najbogatiji izvor BCAA (vitamini) koje se metabolišu u mišićima, te su najvažnije i u periodima treninga, ali i u periodu oporavka. 3 x 55g merice = 9 pilećih bataka.

Kreatin je supstanca koju prirodno proizvodi naše telo. Telo stvara oko 2 g kreatina dnevno. Uloga je da pospešuje obnovu ATP ( energija glavna za rad mišića ), što znači da bi se njegovim uzimanjem produžavalo vreme rada. Kreatina ima u crvenom mesu i ribi.

L- karnitin-najpoznatija uloga je u prenosu masnih kiselina kroz staničnu membranu do mitohondrija gde se masne kiseline sagorevaju i koriste kao izvor energije. L-karnitin pomaže mastima da se pretvore u energiju. L-karnitin je u organizmu prisutan u dovoljnim količinama, a unosi se u organizam kroz hranu životinjskog porekla.

Kofein smo opširnije obradili u datom linku KOFEIN. 5 x 200g u tabletama = 13 espreso kafa.

Glutamin je neesencijalna aminokiselina, što znači da ju je organizam sposoban sam proizvesti. Igra važnu ulogu u metabolizmu, u proizvodnji amonijaka u bubrezima, reprodukciji glukoze u jetri. 6 x 500g u tabletama = 88 svežnja listova spanaća

Kalcijum-ubedljivo najbitnija uloga je u izgradnji kostiju (čvrstina) i zuba, naročito u toku odrastanja. Čvrstina kostiju je jako bitna kod treninga snage i velike mišićne mase. 3 x 500g u tabletama = 2.2 litra mleka

Omega-3 masne kiseline se moraju unositi u organizam hranom, jer ih organizam sam ne proizvodi. One su glavni sastojak ćelijske membrane, neophodne su za ćelijsku regeneraciju i reprodukciju, a hormoni, koji pokreću sve funkcije u organizmu, ne mogu da se proizvedu bez njih. Najbogatiji izvori omega 3 masnih kiselina su: riba, naročito iz hladnih mora i ulje lanenog semena.

Magnezijum-srčani problemi, glavobolje, visok pritisak, alergije, napetost mišica, dijabetes – sve ove bolesti su povezane sa nedostatkom magnezijuma. 1 x 250mg u tabletama = 32 svežnja listova spanaća.

Gvožđe je važan deo hemoglobinskog molekula koji se nalazi u crvenim ćelijama krvi. U stvari, ako nema gvožđa, koštana srž ne može da stvara ovu, za život vrlo važnu supstancu, koja raznosi kiseonik u najudaljenije delove tela. 1 x 15g u tabeltama = parče TOFU-a ( sir od soje ).

Rodjen sam u Kruševcu, gradu koji je na samo sat vremena vožnje udaljen od Kopaonika, i predstavlja možda najsavremeniji i najbolji ski centar na Balkanu. Od petog razreda osnovne škole do sad, teško je izbrojati koliko sam puta bio na ovom, po meni, veoma značajnom ski centru, i rešio da vam malo predstavim i opišem KOPAONIK.

I was born in Krusevac, a town which is only one hour driving from Kopaonik, and is perhaps the most modern and the best ski center in the Balkans. From fifth grade to now, it is hard to count how many times I’ve been at this, I think, very significant ski center, and decided to give you a little present and describe KOPAONIK.

Planina Kopaonik se nalazi u centralnom delu Srbije na 270km od glavnog grada Srbije Beograda, sa najvišim Pančićevim vrhom od 2017m nadmorske visine. Skijalište poseduje 24 ski lifta i oko 70 km staza za skijanje svih kategorija. Statistika pokazuje da na Kopaoniku imamo 200 sunčanih dana godišnje, a 160 dana gde je planina pokrivena snegom. Kako je u poslednjih par godina klima sve toplija, uloženo je dosta da se gotovo sve staze pokriju najsavremenijim snežnim topovima, koji produžavaju skijašku sezonu i održavaju staze na zavidnom nivou.

Mount Kopaonik is located in the central part of Serbia at 270km from the Serbian capital of Belgrade, with the highest Pancic peak at 2017m altitude. Ski resort has 24 ski lifts and about 70 km of trails for skiing all categories. Statistics show that in Kopaonik, we have 200 days of sunshine per year and 160 days where the mountain is covered in snow. As in recent years climate warming, invested a lot to almost all routes cover most modern snow cannons, which extend the ski season and keep the lanes at a high level.

Odnos cene i kvaliteta najviše privlači strane turiste, uglavnom iz Rusije, Rumunije ali i iz drugih evropskih zemalja. Jedan od glavnih razloga za njihovu posetu, pored skijanja i odmora, je i noćni život koji ova planina nudi. Na Kopaoniku ćete naći nešto što drugi zimski centri ne nude u toj meri, a odnose se na klubove, pabove i restorane. Teško da vas bilo koji restoran koji izaberete neće ostaviti bez teksta, što se tiče domaće kuhinje koja je karakteristična za ovaj predeo ( kajmak, ajvar, pršuta…).

Kopaonik will find something other winter sports not offered at the extent, and they relate to clubs, pubs and restaurants. Any restaurant is good choose for you, the local cuisine with amazing food is typical for this area.

Staze Gobelja, Krčmar, Gvozdac, Crna Duboka… nude i vrhunskim skijašima užitak a često se organizuju i takmičenja na nivou Srbije i Balkana. Snow Park, skijanje po dubokom snegu i neuređenim stazama je odličan adrenalinski izazov i za najhrabrije. Kopaonik je odličan izbor i za one koji žele produžen aktivni vikend, a gradsku gužvu i nervozu da zamene planinskom zimskom idilom.

Slopes Gobelja, Krcmar, Gvozdac … also for good skiers offer great pleasure, and often organization of competitions. Snow Park, skiing deep snow and unregulated slopes is a great adventure and adrenaline challenge for the bravest. Kopaonik is an excellent choice for those who want an active extended weekend, and city traffic and nervousness to replace winter mountain idyll.

ST. MORITZ – TOP OF THE WORLD

St. Moritz je odmaralište u dolini Engadine u Švajcarskoj. To je opština u okrugu Maloja u Švajcarskom kantonu Graubunden. Najviši vrh u istočnim Alpima, Piz Bernina, leži južno od grada nekoliko kilometara. Moritz je bio domaćin zimskih olimpijskih igara 1928. i 1948. godine. To je popularna destinacija za visoke klase i međunarodni dzet set, kao i jedan od najskupljih skijališta na svetu. Takođe je bio domaćin 1934. 1974. i 2003. za skijaški svetski kup, i predstojeći 2017.

St. Moritz is a resort in the Engadine valley in Switzerland. It is a municipality in the district of Maloja in the Swiss canton of Graubunden. The highest peak in the eastern Alps, the Piz Bernina, lies south of the city a few kilometers. Moritz hosted the Winter Olympics in 1928. and 1948. It is a popular destination for high class and international jet set, as well as one of the most expensive ski slopes in the world. He also hosted at 1934. 1974. and 2003. the ski world cup, and the upcoming 2017.

To je jedan od tri grada koji su bili domaćini zimskih olimpijskih igara dva puta, ostali su Innsbruck – Austrija i Lake Placid – New York u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama. Pored toga on je bio domaćin FIBT Svetskom prvenstvu (Bob i skeleton Racing) . St. Mortz je izuzetno popularan u letnjim mesecima kao centar za visinske pripreme profesionalnih sportista, posebno biciklista i trkača. Njegova popularnost zasniva se na nadmorskoj visini, na dobrom vremenu (oko 300 sunčanih dana godišnje) , posedovanju atletske staze , jezeru, koje zimi kada se zamrzne služi kao staza za nordisko skijanje i polo sport. Pored navedenih sportova, St. Moritz je poznat i kao destinacija za jedrenje leti.

Na jednom delu planine nalazi se i specijalno pripremljena veleslalom Audi Word Cup staza sa kapijama, radarom za brzinu i satovima za merenje vremena, koju mogu da koriste i rekreativni skijaši kao adrenalinski izazov. Centri Corviglia, Corvatsch i Diavolezza su sinonim i izazivaju strahopoštovanje i za iskusne skijaše. Može se naći skoro sve u švajcarskom najvećem SNOW SPORT regionu, od poznatih područija sa širokim spektrom ponuda do manjih mirnijih porodicnih seoskih krajeva. Ne zaboravljajući brojne panorama restorane, ski kolibe i snow barove, sve pršti od ambijenta žive planinske zabave.

Uređenost staza, ski žičare, ski mape, kultura na ski stazama ostavljaju jak i pozitivan utisak na svakog skijaša. Zato se sa razlogom može reći da je ovo jedan od najboljih ski centara na svetu ako ne i najbolji. Kao iskusnom skijašu i instruktoru veoma impresivno mi je bilo videti sve te odlicno tehnički obučene skijaše od 7 do 77 godina, što se može i očekivati od švajcarske nacije koja je sa razlogom jedna od najtrofejnijih na svetu, kada se govori o zimskim sportovima.

SKIJANJE U DUBAIJU

Ski Dubai je zatvoreno skijalište koje se prostire na 22.500 kvadratnih metara. To je deo objekta Mall of the Emirates, jednog od najvećih I najekskluzivnijih molova na svetu, koji se nalazi u Dubaiju, u Ujedinjenim Arapskim Emiratima.

Skijalište je otvoreno 2005. godine, poseduje 85 metara visoku stazu koja se račva na 5 padina, koje su dužine u proseku 400m i različite su strmine tj težine. Skijalište poseduje tri žicare: jedan tanjir koji vas penje na vrh, jedan četvorosed takođe do vrha sa među stanicom I jedan lift za početnike tj. one koji uče da skijaju. Cela oblast koja je pod snegom iznosi 3.000 kvadratnih metara I obuhvata snow park , stene za penjanje, podzemne hodnike i tunele, stazu za bob I još drugih atrakcija. Izuzetno efikasan sistem izolacije pomaže da objekat održava temperature od  -4 ° C u toku dana i -6 ° C  noću kada se proizvodi sneg.

Zanimljivo je što se oko skijališta nalaze restorani, barovi i kafići koji imaju pogled na skijalište I staze, a takođe dočaravaju pravu zimsku idilu jer I sami izgledaju kao restorani u najvećim skijaškim centrima širom sveta, tako se i jedan od restorana  zove St Moritz. Na samoj stazi na među – stanici četvoroseda se nalazi i prelep restoran sa pravim zimskim ambijentom I enterijerom.

Dva sata skijanja izgleda možda malo ili kratko ali kada ste na temperaturi od -3 a napolju je 35 ili više,  temperaturni šok je veliki . Biće vam sasvim dovoljno  sa obzirom da ćete brzo preći sve staze I da se vreme spuštanja stazom I penjanja žicarom veoma razlikuje I ubrzo će vam biti hladno. Ali užitak je sasvim zadovoljavajući.

U centru postoji I snow park, gde su glavni akteri mladi Arapi lokalci koji, nećete verovati, skijaju fantastično I izvode stvari koje bi retko ko smeo.

Postoji I takmičenje koje se svake godine održava unutar skijališta pod nazivom ICE WARRIOR CHALLENGE. Najspremniji se nadmeću u raznim disciplinama I poligonima na temperaturi manjoj od 0. Prava atrakcija, a I nagrade su privlačne.

Sve u svemu  monotonost pustinje, visoke temperature, velika vlažnost vazduha dominiraju u Dubaiju, ali je zato Ski Dubai prilika da malo zaboravite na to I osetite zimsku idilu bar na jedan dan, naročito ako ste iz krajeva gde je zima godišnje doba sa puno snega I zimskih čarolija.
